Today was a
really big day for Henry: his first day of school. Ever. For now, he goes three days a week from 9:30 to 1:30. Here he is walking out the front door to begin anywhere from twenty to thirty years of education. Ugh.

He was quite proud of his monkey backpack. In fact, he kept going to his cubby and taking it out to wear during the day.

Henry + mischievous look + scissors + little girl's golden curls = ??? Good thing those things are plastic.

I can't believe Henry's already in school! What's he toting around in that bag pack, Norton's Anthology and a French grammar workbook?
Close. It's diapers, cups and not much else. He keeps wanting to bring a compass and protractor, but we say he's not ready for that.
