Sunday Stroll

Daphne and Julep led the way on a walk around our neighborhood Sunday. Henry took the time to enjoy a good nap...

Super's Big Day Out

Wednesday was a big day for Henry. He and his mom spent the day in Oxford and he had his first play date...with Ford Lewis. The two spent some quality time together on Ford's couch comparing notes on things such as footy pajamas, diaper changes and wrapping parents around fingers.

That night, Henry experienced a major first: his first Ole Miss basketball game. Appropriately enough, it was Ole Miss vs. Georgia. He was great thanks to the Baby Bjorn (see picture of this miracle device on the left) and slept much of the time. Of course he did wake up toward the end and contributed to the roar of the crowd. He seems to think he did his own part to push the Rebels toward a tournament bid but he is still concerned about their RPI.

Introducing More Cousins

Henry met two more cousins last weekend--Ryan and Jonathan--along with his Uncle Barry, and got to spend more time with his Aunt Suzi. If Henry's days are judged by the amount of time spent in people's arms, then this past weekend was an unqualified success.

Happy One Month Birthday!

Henry celebrated his one month birthday today, February 17. He's accomplished quite a bit in one month's time, including his first breath, first meal, first bath, first walk, first time in a sushi restaurant and, this past week, first time to roll over from his front to his back. We're hopeful that his second month will include his first time to sleep through the night. He's up to five hours now, so it may not be long...

National Signing Day

The Ole Miss Rebels picked up their 25th signee today, as Henry Solomon (DB/Ath) signed his name on the dotted line at an 8:30am press conference held at his own kitchen table. The 7 pound-15 ounce Solomon stands in at 21 inches tall and runs a legit 4.3 (hours between meals). Solomon, who is likely to redshirt this fall in order to get his playing weight up as well as to learn how to use his legs, has been given 5 stars by Scout.com and 4 stars by Rivals.com. When asked what he brings to this recruiting class, Solomon responded with a coo followed by a hiccup. This was translated by at least one person in attendance to mean, "go to hell LSU."

Sunny Day

The sun finally came out for a while yesterday Henry and mom took advantage of it by relaxing in the sun room. Henry also went on his first walk yesterday (to the end of the street and back) and took his first real (non-sponge) bath. It was a pretty big day and he topped it off catching a little SNL and then sleeping for four straight hours!
