Here are some random pictures we've taken over the last couple months...

Separated at Birth (Part III)?

What's Your Function?

Jurassic 5 said it best: "you gots to get up on your vocab, you gots to have vocab!"

As far as we can tell, here are the words that Henry now says:

cereal, milk, green beans, apple, fruit, cheese, hot dog, yogurt, ice cream, spoon, cup, bib, bite, "big bite," all gone, hot, cool ("cooool"), like, see, lights, outside, playground, flowers ("flowies"), ball, baseball, football, basketball, golf, shoes, hat, pool ("pooool"), Elmo ("Belbo"), Grover, Big Bird, Count, Sesame Street ("shesh shtree"), one, two, three, yellow, purple, flippant, duckie, cow, doggie, cat, elephant, giraffe, horse, bird ("boid"…sort of sounds like Bugs Bunny or Humphrey Bogart), fishies, school, car, truck, train, bus, bike, airplane, crane, dig, ride, again, more, mine, please, thank you, mama, da da, grandpa, grandma, pop, gran gran, Daphne, Julep and baby.

Okay, so he doesn't really say "flippant"...but it's still a pretty good collection of words.

First Day of School!

Today was a really big day for Henry: his first day of school. Ever. For now, he goes three days a week from 9:30 to 1:30. Here he is walking out the front door to begin anywhere from twenty to thirty years of education. Ugh.

He was quite proud of his monkey backpack. In fact, he kept going to his cubby and taking it out to wear during the day.

Henry + mischievous look + scissors + little girl's golden curls = ??? Good thing those things are plastic.

Prince of Tides

The weekend before the bar exam, Alexis and Henry joined the Wolffs and Kaplans in Hilton Head. My test ended at 5:30 that Tuesday and by 6:30, I was in Terminal A of the Atlanta airport on my way to join them...

We had lots of stuff to take to the beach, but thankfully we had some help.

Pondering the vast infinity of the Atlantic Ocean...or imagining a truck?

Aunt Stacy made biscuits for everyone with the help of her sous chef.

One of the best things about Hilton Head is the bike paths. Generally speaking, they tend to be enjoyed by the awake. But it had been a long day. Don't worry, we brought him inside the next morning.

Posing with the cousins.

Back to Cackalacky

I'm playing catch-up here because I've had my head in the books. But the bar exam is over now and so my nights are no longer spent in the basement with a 57-pound book discussing the difference between a springing future interest and the possibility of reverter. While I was in the midst of my coffee-, licorice-, and cereal- (but not at the same time) fueled study marathons, Alexis and Henry went to Chapel Hill with Mindy for Luigi's third birthday party.

Making his own bear-shaped cookie...

...and better yet, eating it.

Happy tres aƱos, Luigi!

Is there a better way to celebrate a birthday than a serious game of H³?
