Not an often-discussed rite of passage, Henry enjoyed his first-ever peanut butter and jelly sandwich recently. He scarfed it down in a frighteningly short period of time, leaving nothing but smears of sticky peanut butter on his hands, clothes, table, chair, face, ears and hair.

Long Distance Information, Give Me Memphis, Tennessee...
On Saturday, we took a daytrip to Memphis to visit with friends and family. We had lunch with Stephen Moutoux and Lizzie Sutton and their parents. Then we went to the Suttons' house for a little play time.
Guilty! Stephen and Henry look like they know they've been caught playing with Lizzie's bouncer while she naps.
Later in the afternoon, we went to Shelby Farms with the Hamners. Norie Hamner, one of Henry's first friends, showed Henry how to pet and feed a horse. Henry's response? "Ooooooooooooooooh."
"This thing's even bigger than Julep."
Norie and Henry seem to have a real bond. She laughs when he makes his "talking" noises and at one point he put his thumb in his mouth and rested his head on her shoulder. Like the third picture in the last post, that is his way of showing love.
That night, we introduced Henry to his cousins Sam and Monte Stark. After a dinner of chicken and stars baby food, followed by angel hair pasta, mushrooms, gnocchi and garlic bread, they agreed that he was definitely a member of our family.
