Scenes from the Bris...

Here are some pictures taken at Henry's bris last Thursday. It was a beautiful service thanks to Rabbi Valerie Cohen and the food was great thanks to Alexis' parents and too many others to even name. Things have been pretty busy at our house lately so it's taken nearly a week to get these pictures up, but here they are...

Two for the Price of One

Henry continues to settle into a routine and last night slept a whopping three hours between feedings. Here's a picture of him in his bassinet after catching his first glimpse of himself in the mirror. He appeared to be so impressed with his own cuteness that he immediately fell asleep.

Going Home

Yesterday, Henry finally arrived at his new home. After putting on his special outfit, he took his first car ride (sleeping for both events).

Once home, he met his sisters for the first time. At first Daphne and Julep were a little wary, but as you can see by this last picture, things are settling back to normal!

And finally...Henry happily enjoys his new surroundings:

(Henry) Grey's Anatomy

Here he is!!! Henry Grey Solomon, born January 17, 2007 at 9:12pm. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 and 1/4 inches long. He is named after Alexis' maternal grandfather, Henry Sweet and my maternal grandmother, Gertrude Scheinberg. Both he and mom are doing great. We'll post more updates and pictures soon, but here is a taste of Henry's first few hours of life!

Nursery

Mostly because of complaints that this blog is not updated often enough (even though nothing has happened that would necessitate an update), I am attaching a couple of pictures of the nursery...with a cameo by Daphne. And Good

Names

Besides trying to guess the sex of the baby, we are also still trying to decide on a good name. Names actually, since we need to be prepared for a boy and a girl. Among the favorites: Apollo, Luigiola, Patrick Willis, Grape, and Bernice.
We are still open for suggestions, so please feel free to post a comment...

Pink or Blue???

It's now January 2, 2007, and Alexis and I are anxiously awaiting our new arrival. The crib and basinett are made, the car seat is installed, the stroller is set up, the suitcase is (almost) packed. The only question now is when....and what? Boy or girl? Vegas oddsmakers have set the odds at a surprising 50-50.
